100+ signups by Friday, October 16.

Startland printed Mychal as Myke Shaw. Tag Mychal Shaw at Uwazi.

The room
Attach: Lockup card, 1200x630
Kansas City already has the builders. Most of them have never been in the same room.
Let's Build It is that room. Thursday, October 29. Spark Coworking, 1475 Walnut. Doors at 5, we close at 9. Free.
I'll be hosting. Grayson Smith keynotes. Gentry Smith and David Lickimbat will be there. On the panel with me: Miles Finch and Mychal Shaw.
It is not a product pitch, and it is not a hackathon. You bring the problem you actually have.

Thursday, October 29, we're putting the builders in Kansas City in one room. Spark Coworking, doors at 5. Justin is hosting, with Grayson, Gentry, David, Miles Finch, and Mychal Shaw.

Grayson Smith
Attach: Lockup card, 1200x630
Grayson Smith is the reason this night exists.
He'll keynote Let's Build It on October 29. He said the thing I keep coming back to: getting an AI demo working takes a weekend. Building something a business depends on is a different job.
That's the room. Spark Coworking, doors at 5, we close at 9. Free.

Draft for Grayson
Getting an AI demo working takes a weekend. Building something a business depends on is a different job.
That's what Let's Build It is for. Thursday, October 29, at Spark Coworking in Kansas City. Doors at 5, we close at 9. Free.
Come with the problem you actually have. I'll be there, with Gentry and David.

Not a tech company
Attach: Lockup card, 1200x630
You don't have to work at a tech company to belong in this room.
If you're building with AI inside a company that would never call itself a tech company, this night is for you. Bring the problem you actually have.
October 29. 5 to 9. Spark.

Some of the best builders in this city don't have AI in their title. We saved them a seat. October 29.

Miles Finch
His draft uses lines from the August 19 Startland story. He should edit it before it posts.
Attach: Lockup card, 1200x630
Miles Finch builds inside a business that would never call itself a tech company.
He is an agent and regional leader at State Farm, and he is on the panel at Let's Build It. His line that I keep is simple: the checker gets what the checker checks. He got tired of hunting the real numbers across five systems before he could coach his own people.
October 29. Spark Coworking. Doors at 5, we close at 9. Free.

Miles Finch is on the panel. October 29. Spark Coworking. Doors at 5.
Draft for Miles
I want to scale. I want to be more than a mom-and-pop insurance agency.
For a long time that meant hunting numbers across commission software, financials, and marketing reports, then building a spreadsheet before I trusted the answer. The checker gets what the checker checks. It's hard, as a small business owner, to always check everything.
I'll be on the panel at Let's Build It on October 29, talking about that. Spark Coworking. Doors at 5. Free.

Three weeks out

Three weeks out.
If the night works, it won't be because of a slide. It'll be because two people who should have met years ago finally do.
Tell one builder. Then register yourself.

Mychal Shaw
Startland printed his name as Myke Shaw. Uwazi's site and Justin use Mychal Shaw. Tag the Uwazi profile. His draft is from Uwazi's own story. He should edit it.
Attach: Lockup card, 1200x630
Mychal Shaw builds so people can understand the thing in front of them.
He founded Uwazi.ai in Kansas City. It started at a polling station, then as 15-minute calls that walked someone through a ballot without telling them how to vote. He taught himself the technology and built the early systems. Uwazi is a Swahili word for transparency.
He is on the panel at Let's Build It. October 29. Spark Coworking, 1475 Walnut. Doors at 5, we close at 9. Free.

Draft for Mychal
Uwazi started at a polling station, not in a boardroom. People were walking away because nobody made the ballot make sense. So I did what organizers do. Fifteen-minute calls. Nonpartisan. No spin. Just the ballot and someone willing to walk through it.
I'm bringing that work to Let's Build It on October 29 at Spark Coworking. Doors at 5. If you build for a city, or you're trying to see the thing clearly, come.

Bring one builder
Friday, October 16 is also the 100+ signup checkpoint.
Attach: Night card, 1080 square
I'm asking for one thing before October 29.
Bring one person who builds, and who doesn't already know everyone else in the room. That's the point of the night.
Spark Coworking. 5 to 9. Free.

David Lickimbat
The shop-floor line is the public line on his LinkedIn. He should rewrite the middle before it posts.
Attach: Lockup card, 1200x630
David Lickimbat is the operator on this panel.
He is chief operating officer at Intuidy. He grew up around shop floors, freight, and people who solve problems with their hands first. On October 29 he is there to talk about the field: what has to be true on Monday morning, inside a real company.
